Regional Training Course on the Operation, Use and Quality Control of Mammography Equipment, Algiers, 28 June – 02 July 2026.



On 28 June 2026, the Atomic Energy Commissionner, Dr. Abdelhamid MELLAH, inaugurated a regional training course on the operation, use and quality control of mammography equipment. The course is being held at the Nuclear Research Centre of Algiers (CRNA) from 28 June to 02 July 2026.
The objective of this event is to develop practical skills that can be immediately applied to the use, operation and quality control of digital mammography systems.
The training course is open to participants from 12 African Member States, namely: Algeria, Cameroon, Chad, Comoro Islands, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Togo.
Organized within the framework of a technical cooperation project with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the course is delivered entirely by national experts and is intended for radiologists, medical physicists and radiographers.
