










Under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy and the Minister of Health, the Algiers Nuclear Research Center of the Atomic Energy Commission (COMENA) hosted the 2nd International Conference on Nuclear Medicine (AICONM25), jointly organized by the Atomic Energy Commission (COMENA) and the Algerian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AAMN), in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), on November 14 and 15, 2025.
The official opening was attended by the president of the National Health Safety Agency, the president of the National Nuclear Safety and Security Authority, the secretary general of the Ministry of Health, the representative of the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy, and officials from the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, and COMENA.
This conference brought together Algerian and international experts with the aim of:
– sharing the latest scientific and technological advances in nuclear medicine;
– strengthening scientific and technical cooperation;
– promote the training of Algerian and African professionals;
– encourage the creation of regional research networks and disease registries;
– build capacity: provide training and educational opportunities for young researchers and clinicians;
– promote the peaceful uses of nuclear energy: encourage collaboration with the IAEA.
