Nuclear research centre of Algiers

Mission: The nuclear research centre of Algiers is responsible for developing and implementing research programs in the fields of physics, nuclear techniques, nuclear applications, radiological physics, the environment, nuclear safety and radioactive waste. The center is also responsible for setting up an effective national radiation protection system, particularly in terms of operational radiation protection.
The centre participates in specific training in radiation protection, safety, radiological physics and nuclear science and techniques, in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down by current regulations.
Infrastructure & Equipment: Includes Van de Graaff Accelerator, Neutron Generator, Ion Implantation System, Gamma Irradiator, Isotope Hydrology Laboratory, Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory, Radiation Dosimetry Laboratory, Radio-Isotopic Analysis Laboratories, and Scientific Equipment for Analytical Techniques.
