Working Visit of a delegation from the Argentine Company INVAP S.A.U. to COMENA.

On May 13, 2025, Dr. Abdelhamid Mellah,  Atomic Energy Commissioner, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Argentine company INVAP S.A.U., led by its General Manager, Mr. Darío Giussi, at the headquarters of the Atomic Energy Commission (COMENA).

Over the course of three days, from May 13 to 15, experts and specialists from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies and from COMENA, together with their counterparts from INVAP, engaged in a series of in-depth technical consultations. The discussions focused on topics of mutual interest and examined ways and means to further strengthen Algerian-Argentine cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, in a spirit of continuity and excellence.

Both parties reaffirmed the depth of the strategic and historical partnership between the Nuclear Research Centre of Draria and INVAP, designer and builder of the NUR research reactor, operational in Draria since 1989. They expressed their shared determination to give fresh impetus to this exemplary cooperation through intensified scientific and technological exchanges and the implementation of joint projects with high added value.
