Our country aspires to gain mastery of nuclear technology and the development of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, particularly after having agreed to place the nuclear sector under the control of the IAEA and to strictly comply with its international commitments in terms of nuclear non-proliferation (adherence to the NPT, signing of the comprehensive safeguards agreement with the IAEA, signing of the Additional Protocol).
