On November 5, 2025, the Commissioner for Atomic Energy, Dr. Abdelhamid MELLAH, has proceeded to the official opening of the 2nd National seminar on nuclear science and technology, organized from 5 to 6 November 2025, by the Nuclear Research Center of Draria (CRND) at the conference room of the Nuclear Research Center of Algiers (CRNA), under the auspices of the Atomic Energy Commission.
This seminar aims to share and valorize research and development activities in the nuclear field, strengthen synergies between the various institutions working in this strategic area, and consolidate the scientific and technological foundations necessary for the country’s development in strategic sectors such as health, energy, industry, and environmental protection.
The program for this scientific event covers topics related to the utilization and exploration of raw materials, fuel, nuclear reactor technology and modeling approaches, and radioisotopes for medical use.
The event was attended by more than one hundred (100) researchers and professors from various research centers and universities in the country and university hospitals.
