To commemorate National Emigration Day, which marks the 62nd anniversary of the massacres of October 17, 1961, and in compliance with the decision of the President of the Republic (Presidential Decree No. 21-392 of October 16, 2021) ordering a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the October 17, 1961 demonstrations,
the personnel and managers of the various structures under the Atomic Energy Commission, like other institutions of the State, observed a minute of silence today, October 16, 2025 at 11:00, in memory of the martyrs who were victims of the brutal repression of peaceful demonstrations organized by Algerians in France.
This assembly embodies a lesson for future generations in terms of sacrificing oneself and one’s possessions for the dignity and freedom of Algerians, which has been a flame lighting the path to freedom and proving to the whole world that the dignity of peoples is invincible.
This gathering is to preserve the national memory and embed the eternal values of the November Revolution, with all its important stages, in the hearts of Algerians.
