Opening ceremony of the national training course on energy supply analysis using the IAEA’s “MESSAGE” Model, EFGB (SONELGAZ), Ben Aknoun, Algiers, 12-23 October 2025.

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Mr. Djillali KHELFI, Director of Nuclear Programs, representing the Commissioner for Atomic Energy, officially opened the national training course on energy supply analysis using the IAEA model MESSAGE) dedicated for analyzing the Energy Supply Strategy Alternatives and their General Environmental Impacts.

This event is hosted by the Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission (CREG) and is held, at SONELGAZ’s Ben Aknoun Management Training School (EFGB), from 12 to 23 October 2025.

Organized within the framework of a technical cooperation agreement with the IAEA, the event will be led by two IAEA experts and is aimed at 20 specialists from the energy sector.

The course program consists of theoretical sessions presenting various aspects related to supply analysis and the MESSAGE interface, as well as practical sessions analyzing case studies based on predefined scenarios and assumptions.
