Opening ceremony of the national training course on energy demand analysis using the IAEA’s MAED model.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, Mr. Tahar ZIDI, Secretary General of the Atomic Energy Commission, representing the Commissioner of Atomic Energy, officially opened the national training course on energy demand analysis using the IAEA’s MAED model.

This event is hosted by the Electricity and Gas Regulatory Commission (CREG) and will take place from June 22 to July 3, 2025, at SONELGAZ’s Ben Aknoun Management Training School (EFGB).

This two-week course, organized as part of a technical cooperation agreement with the IAEA, is led by an IAEA expert. It brings together 27 specialists from the energy sector.

The program alternates between theoretical sessions on energy demand analysis and the MAED interface, and practical sessions with case studies based on predefined scenarios and assumptions.
