On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., the Atomic Energy Commissioner, Dr. Abdelhamid MELLAH, officially installed the Scientific and Pedagogical Council of the Algerian Institute for Nuclear Engineering Training (IAGN), attached to the Atomic Energy Commission (COMENA).
The Scientific and Pedagogical Council of the IAGN is responsible, in particular, for deciding on:
- annual and multi-year plans for specialized training in nuclear engineering;
- specialized training programs in nuclear engineering;
- programs and implementation of continuing education, advanced training, and retraining cycles;
- programs for the specialized training of nuclear facility operating and maintenance personnel;
- the program of conferences and seminars;
- educational and scientific evaluation systems and methods;
- educational regulations for studies, admission requirements, training, and examinations;
- the organization of specialized training courses within the framework of cooperation and partnership;
- any other scientific or pedagogical issues falling within the scope of the institute’s missions, at the request of the Director General.
