On Saturday June 21, 2025, Mr. Mohamed REMADNA, representative of the Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, officially opened the 3rd ASRO (Algerian Society for Radiation Oncology) congress, in the presence of the Atomic Energy Commissioner, the President of the National Nuclear Safety and Security Authority, the Director of the IAEA’s Human Health Division, the WHO Africa Office representative and the Chairwoman of ASRO.
This major scientific event, to be held from June 20 to 22, 2025 at the Nuclear Research Center of Algiers (CRNA) of the Atomic Energy Commission (COMENA), has brought together leading national and international experts. It also marks the start of a privileged space for dialogue, sharing and reflection for healthcare professionals, reaffirming the commitment of the Atomic Energy Commission (COMENA) to support all those involved in radiotherapy with rigor and expertise.
